I recently got a Verizon prepaid Intensity phone from Walmart last week. I made a call after 9pm because the plan information said that weeknight calls (9pm-5:59am) and weekend calls didn’t cost anything. I made the call at 10pm and saw on my balance I still got charged the $1.99 for the day. Anybody else deal with this?

Are you sure it charged you? Thats kinda strange because on the 1.99 plan it shouldnt M2M and Night and Weekend are Unlimited on the 1.99 plan so Maybe Walmart accidently put you on the 0.99 cent plan and told you your on the 1.99 plan, I’d go back to walmart or to a VZW Store and have your account checked. Walmart is just an Authorized dealer, they really have nothing to do with VZW.

I have a verizon acct with 2 blackberries on it, I am wanting to add my parents to my plan. They already have Verizon Prepaid phones, can I add the two new lines online and order new phones and then call and activate their prepaid phones ? I am wanting to swap my 2 blackberries for the phones I would be ordering from Verizon

Yep you can do that!! I would highly recommend you go in to a Verizon location to at least do the transfer of your parents lines onto your account. Second, if you do not want to purchase new phones at the local Verizon Store, you can still order your phones online, just make sure they don’t put your parents under a contract when they transfer the lines onto your account, or else you want be able to purchase new phones for them online. Lastly, you can switch your numbers to the new phones your are purchasing for your parents. The easiest way to do this is to take the phones into a Verizon Wireless Store when you receive them and let them switch the phones around for you, in order to prevent activating the phones on the wrong numbers through the automated system.
